During the conference on Passive Margins and Petroleum Systems honoring David Roberts, Pierre Charles de Graciansky presented the following work. Illustrating passive margin structures in the Alpine folding system similar to the ones known along Inner Snørre Fault (Northern North Sea), this presentation also highlights how rift structures correspond exactly to those of the Alpine structural inversion and the fact that thrust sheets originate from Jurassic sediments expelled from half grabens.
